About the role
Join us as a Junior Salesforce Developer contributing to the U.S. Army's Accessions Information Environment (AIE). This role is ideal for early-career developers with 3-5 years of Salesforce experience, especially those familiar with DoD or regulated environments.
You will work in a secure, compliance-driven setting, focusing on declarative Salesforce solutions and supporting custom development when necessary, while collaborating with a skilled team to deliver mission-critical capabilities.
Job Responsibilities

Build Salesforce solutions using declarative tools such as Flows, Validation Rules, Record Types, Page Layouts, and Lightning App Builder.

Implement Apex or LWC custom development only when necessary, following secure coding standards.

Support integrations using Salesforce-native tools or REST/SOAP APIs ensuring secure data transactions.

Maintain and evolve Salesforce data model, permissions, sharing settings, and field-level security.

Participate in configuration and code reviews to enforce standards and documentation.

Support DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines including version control and deployment preparation.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments using root-cause analysis.

Produce and maintain audit-ready documentation including flow diagrams, change logs, and deployment notes.

Participate in sprint ceremonies providing estimates and advising on out-of-the-box solutions.

Stay current with Salesforce releases and platform updates relevant to secure enterprise environments.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Salesforce development or configuration experience.
- Experience building declarative Salesforce solutions using Flows, Validation Rules, Record Types, and Lightning App Builder.
- Exposure to Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC) for custom development.
- Understanding of secure development practices and compliance in controlled environments.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Git-based version control.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and follow guidance from technical leads.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in troubleshooting and documentation.
- Familiarity with DoD or federally regulated environments is preferred.
- Good communication skills and the ability to participate in agile sprint ceremonies.
- Commitment to maintaining audit-ready documentation and adhering to coding standards.
